Peak Oil, Tar Sands and Climate Change
Feb 19th, 7pm
Framingham Public Library, Costin Room
As our economy begins to get used to a “new normal” of high oil prices, enjoy free refreshments while learning what’s causing this shift and it what it means for our community’s future. Following a presentation by Richard Lawrence, co-founder of ASPO-USA, we will discuss how residents of Framingham are already coming together to increase our community’s resilience and how individuals can be part of the fun. We’ll hear from the front lines about the recent news about Tar Sands extraction and pipelines.
I Love Framingham
March 2nd, 9:30 to 1:30pm
Framingham High School Cafeteria
Join us for a day of fun, community, learning, and loving our town!
Together, we will start the conversation about how we can come together, as neighbors helping neighbors, to address issues that are increasingly shaping Framingham: economic instability, volatile (but rising) energy costs, and increasing extreme weather events. What can we do, right now, to make Framingham a stronger community?
