Sustainability with Style

August 23, 2017 alex Events

When: Sat, September 23, 5pm – 10pm
Where: Open Spirit, 39 Edwards St, Framingham, MA 01701

We will screen the documentary film “The True Cost” at 5pm with a group discussion to follow on thoughts, feelings and how we can move forward in our community with our clothing choices.

The fantastically sustainable fashion show begins at 8pm. It features designers and crafts people who have taken on creating there own clothes. It also features looks from stylists who use vintage and second hand clothing to create outfits for every day, work and even the avant guarde.

We are currently looking for:

Designers: People who create their own clothing. This includes, but is not limited to knitters, cobblers, seamstreses, crafts people, cosplayers and fashion designers.

Stylists: People who can put together an outfit with an emphasis on sustainibility and local means. We are especially looking for those that love to shop at vintage and second hand clothing stores.

Join us for some fun at the catwalk and get some insight on how you can make more sustainable choices in your clothing while holding on to your unique identity and style.

If you are someone who would like to work with us on this project or know anyone who fits these descriptions, please send us a message. We are looking for all levels of experience and look forward to working with you.
