Coconut Bacon

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons maple syrup

3 tablespoons tamari

1 tablespoons liquid smoke flavoring

1/1/2 tablespoons ketchup

3 cups large coconut flakes (1 7oz bag)

 

Mix and Bake:

Measure the liquid  ingredients into a large bowl and mix well.  Add the coconut flakes and stir well to coat.  Spread the coconut bacon onto the prepared cookie sheet.  Bake at 300 for 20 minutes.  Then check, stir and continue to cook for 5 minutes at a time until very brown and crispy.  Be careful as it burns when near done.
